Special Applications is a Siege Technologies research and development offering that caters to classified and unique customer requirements. This service offering includes the testing, deployment, and operation support of application specific systems that are typical of private commercial organizations or classified DoD/IC systems. Previous work included the development of a communication prototype utilizing Matlab to simulate GMSK (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying), BPSK (Binary Phase Shift Keying), and other standard modulations (e.g., OFDM) to conduct statistical signal detection. Recent unclassified work includes the design of low-level software AT (anti-tamper) mechanisms for proprietary embedded military systems, and the development of an integrated IO-EW effects deployment framework.
Our specific experience supporting customers in this space include:
- Military systems engineering
- Identifying new DSP applications leveraging advances in Cell Processor and NVIDIA GPU technologies
- Signal processing development and Analysis
- Modulation/demodulation
- Coding (RS, convolutional/viterbi, etc.)
